Our Story
Jack’s Menu was founded in 2022 by food enthusiasts Jack Smith and Samantha Lee. As longtime Houston residents and self-proclaimed “foodies”, Jack and Samantha were frustrated by the lack of a go-to site for finding the tastiest eats in Houston. Most review sites tended to focus on fancy, expensive restaurants, but Jack and Samantha knew that some of the best meals could be found in hole-in-the-wall joints and mom-and-pop shops.
Armed with notebooks, pens, and bottomless stomachs, Jack and Samantha made it their mission to scour every corner of Houston and discover the very best local eateries. No cuisine was off limits – from pho to po’ boys, tacos to Texas BBQ, they tried it all! Each restaurant was judged on criteria like flavor, value, service, and overall dining experience. Their handwritten notes and candid photos allowed them to vividly capture what made each place unique.
After months of eating their way through Houston, Jack and Samantha were ready to launch Jack’s Menu as a hub for their restaurant reviews, neighborhood dining guides, and monthly “Best of” awards. Our website and social media channels help hungry Houstonians find hidden food gems and established favorites alike. We’re passionate about supporting the vibrant local food scene, from taco trucks and mom-and-pop diners to upscale eateries.
